APET
APET is a glass clarity material, but can also be supplied in a range of colours. It is eminently suitable for food products where maximum exposure of the product is desired. APET is a tough material with good impact strength and also MAP-compatible for longer your products shelf lifes.
Properties
There are two main types of PET: Amorphous PET (APET) and Crystalline PET (CPET), the main difference being that CPET is partly crystallised, while APET is amorphous. Due to its partially crystalline structure, CPET is opaque, while APET has amorphous structure provides glass quality clarity.
APET is suitable for use between -40c and +70c. APET is an extremely tough material with good impact strength. APET has an extremely effective barrier against oxygen, water, carbon dioxide and nitrogen.
Applications
Fresh Meat and Seafoods, Salads, Fruits and Vegetables, Cake, Bakery and Biscuits.
